The Shift of the Ages film shares the Mayan Cosmo-Vision and Prophecy through the wisdom and teachings of Grandfather Cirilo Perez Oxlaj, also known as Wandering Wolf, Grand Elder of the living Maya. The National Counsel of Elders Mayas, Xinca and Garifuna of Guatemala has an important message for the world. Their leader, Grandfather Cirilo, the protagonist of the Shift of the Ages film, discloses previously unavailable visions, concepts and ancient prophecies.
Many people know that a grand cycle of the famous Mayan Long Count Calendar ends in the 2011-2012 time frame, but they may be misinformed about its meaning. According to Mayan prophecy, we have entered a unique period of time during which it is both safe and necessary to share this information to the public.

The Shift of the Ages film is a docudrama: a timely, artistic and inspiring expression of ancient wisdom and prophecy proclaimed by our Indigenous Elders. The Shift of the Ages is a true account of the Mayan prophecies, the life and mission of Grandfather Cirilo and the momentous evolutionary shift currently underway in our cosmos.
In this film Grandfather shares his wisdom during the astounding journey from his humble beginnings as a poor, itinerant shoe-shine boy, to his exalted position of Itinerant Extraordinary Ambassador to the Indigenous Pueblos Maya, Xinca and Garifuna of Guatemala. The Shift of the Ages reflects Grandfather’s story and message in perfect accordance with the Cosmo-Vision of the Mayan Prophecies.
The protagonist is Grandfather Cirilo and the film is about his desire to bring an accurate message of the Mayan Cosmo-Vision to the world. In order to clarify misinterpretations of the Mayan prophecies, its culture and traditions – especially as it relates to the end date of 2012 – the film transitions between four major perspectives:
1. Grandfather Cirilo’s desire and actions to deliver a powerful message to the world;
2. Grandfather Cirilo’s quest and struggle to unite the world according to his vision and the Cosmo Vision of the Mayan prophecies related to the dawning of a new age.
3. A documentary on various views of the alleged 2012 end date.
4. A powerful transformational experience highly relevant for our times.
Grandfather travels throughout the world gathering people in the name of global unity. He warns of dangers in the dark period of the Fifth Sun in which we currently live. Sharing his visions with other tribal and indigenous leaders, he passes to them an ancient Sacred Staff bequeathed by his ancestors. The Staff is the grand symbol of solidarity destined to unite nations and usher in the age of harmony, prosperity and peace to the earth.
All goes well until the Staff falls into the hands of the leader of another nation. The ensuing seven-year struggle, the climax of which is caught live in the Shift of the Ages film, symbolizes the issues we all must face and transcend before entering the new Sun: greed, ego, selfishness, separatism, anger, hatred and ignorance. This conflict engenders the subplot and the challenges that Grandfather must meet in order to realize his vision and the film’s ultimate transformational purpose.
